Security Guard - Immediate Start - Full Time

Site Description: Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron
Position: Full-time Security Officer
Site: 2372 Purcells Cove Rd, Halifax, NS B3P 1C7
Schedule: Monday-Friday 2200-0600, shift timings subject to change
Patrol client properties by foot to ensure the safety and security of the site, and politely direct disruptive individuals to leave the premises
Monitor Surveillance Systems: Operate security cameras and alarm systems, ensuring any suspicious activity is reported immediately to the appropriate authorities.
Access Control : Monitor and control entry points to the client site, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed access to restricted areas. Respond to Emergencies: Act quickly in emergency situations, such as fire alarms or security threats. Assist site staff as needed during crises and evacuations.
Report Writing: Complete reports on incidents, breaches, and security concerns.
Collaboration with site Stakeholders : Provide specialized security services and sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders
Enforce Policies: Follow and enforce rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Ability to obtain Security License for the province of Nova Scotia
English (oral and written) fluency is a must
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.
Prior training certifications may be accepted on a case-by-case basis
Applicants lacking acceptable certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
