Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.
The Support Service Worker is responsible to provide services to patients, staff and community partners of Selkirk Mental Health Centre including a clean environment, food service, porter/laundry services, supply replenishment, equipment maintenance, transportation and security.
Experience working in housekeeping and food service in a healthcare or directly related environment is an asset.
Experience in customer service.
Experience in a housekeeping/cleaning environment.
Experience in a food handling environment (knowledge of food preparation and safety).
Valid Class 5 Manitoba driver's license is desired.

Knowledge of food preparation and equipment is essential.
May be required to add/update building inventory.
Must be physically able to do heavy lifting or carrying, work on feet for eight (8) hour shifts, work at heights and/or in varying environmental conditions (inside, outside, high humidity) and work varying shifts and weekends including statutory holidays.
Ability to work in plating assembly at a constant, average pace.
Physically capable of manual labour (heavy and intensive at times).
