Operator/Machine Operator

Description
We are seeking a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Operator to join our machining quality team. Reporting to the Machining Quality Lead you will play a key role in ensuring the precision and quality of our machined parts through inspection processes.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate CMM equipment to measure production parts using pre-existing CMM programs.
Verify dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring equipment adhering to GD&T standards.
Work closely with the CMM Programmer and Machining Quality Lead to ensure accurate inspections.
Ensure all seven machining cells follow inspection plans and inspection frequencies; proactively retrieve parts for measurement if not provided by the cells.
Create and maintain accurate quality documentation.
Interpret CMM reports and provide constructive feedback to the machining team.
Troubleshoot and verify measurements using other gauges as necessary.
Report quality issues to the Quality team.
Assist with gauge calibration as needed.
Complete additional tasks as required to support the metrology and quality teams.
Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of precision measuring equipment and GD&T.
Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Experience operating CMMs (Zeiss and Wenzel experience is an asset).
Ability to interpret CMM reports.
Machining experience is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and technical report writing.
