Service Tech - Electrician

Position Title: Electrician Department: Manufacturing

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Electrician will be responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of the facility’s electrical systems.

Day to day trouble shooting, repair and installation of low and high voltage (single/three phase) industrial electro-mechanical and control systems.

Repair, troubleshooting and installation of machinery including electrical and electronic equipment, control systems and automation.

Electrical wiring and testing of automated systems.

Preventative maintenance and servicing metal forming equipment.

PLC and HMI programming changes and troubleshooting including modification and calibration of equipment.

Optimize equipment safety, efficiency and reliability, participating in continuous improvement projects and completing work orders according to PM schedules.

Ensure completion of required documentation, legal standards compliance,

Assist in maintaining documentation for existing and new equipment, control, and building power system installations.

Must read and interpret electrical and electronic drawings, schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings and sketches to determine problem and make appropriate repairs.

Creation/updating of electrical parts lists as required.

Provide assistance to mechanical installations as directed.

Work with engineering, production and outside contractors to solve design, developmental and other improvement initiatives.

A valid Journeyman Electrician certificate is a prerequisite.

• 5 to 8 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing processes. 3 to 5 years of experience with PLC and HMI programming and troubleshooting skills required.
• Experience with a wide range of PLC hardware systems including and not limited to PLC5, SLC, Control Logix, Motion Control, Micorlogix, Panel View, Indromat drive, and Power Flex Drives.
