The Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN)/ Registered Practical Nurses (RPN), under the direction of the immediate supervisor, adheres to the established plan of care to provide high quality care to clients and their families with compassion, excellence, and reliability. LPNs/RPNs ensure that their client’s emotional, physical comfort and safety are of their top priority and in accordance with Bayshore policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice. LPNs/RPNs participate in ongoing training and provide support and direction to paraprofessional staff members involved in client care visits.
Graduation from an accredited Licensed/Registered Practical Nursing Program; Clinical certificates and post grad courses would be an asset
new grads may be considered for hire on an individual basis
Have either a reliable mode of transportation (bus, train, etc) OR a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for commuting
A clear police criminal record and able to get a Vulnerable Sector Screening if required
Bayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients. At Bayshore all new hires must have received the full series of a COVID-19 vaccine or combination of COVID-19 vaccines approved by Health Canada (e.g., AND have received the final dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the official start date of hire.
