Role Purpose: The Manufacturing Manager will be accountable for leading the production teams which manufacture Wolfe Heavy Equipment products. This includes the Fabrication and Assembly teams. The role is accountable to define the operations strategy in support of Wolfe's business strategy and goals. Defining the strategy and executing the transformation in an engaging way will be a key focus for this role.
The Manufacturing Manager will be responsible for developing their team and conducting employee performance evaluations. The Manufacturing Manager will possess the capability to decompose department requirements into continuous improvement initiatives to deliver business results. Lead your team to identify areas where processes could be better optimized to deliver best in class customer value.
Reports To: Plant Manager
Responsible for developing and effectively communicating the 1-year vision/strategy for production area to deliver business objectives
Identify and deploy the resources, systems and technical skills required to deliver projects
Develop key performance indicators (KPI's) to monitor shop floor performance
Improve the overall performance of your team through implementation of lean initiatives including standard work
Use problem solving techniques to analyze, identify root cause and permanently correct problems
People Management
Craft personal development plans with team members
Provide timely feedback for growth and personal development
Ensure that team members follow defined assembly procedures and comply with quality requirements
Responsible for training of operators for products and manufacturing processes
General and Task Management
Address questions from associates pertaining to production processes or equipment operation
Ensure quality is achieved as per requirements
Ensure achievement of production throughput against stated capacity targets
Communicate with team members and support personnel regarding issues impacting product, production, quality and safety across department

Experience leading a team through a lean transformation - capable of organizing and driving 5S/Kaizen, etc. Job Type: Full-time
