Inventory Shift Coordinator Full Time

Position Overview: The inventory controller is primarily responsible for boosting and sustaining company profitability by ensuring accurate inventory levels. This role also guarantees that optimal inventory is consistently available and ready for use.
Job Specific Duties:
Reconcile inventory discrepancies and resolve issues.
Maintain and update inventory records, including adjustments and root cause analysis.
Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures.
Implement and oversee cycle counting procedures.
Report stock-related issues to management.
Organize and oversee the annual physical inventory process.
Develop procedures to ensure adequate inventory levels are consistently maintained.
Identify and optimize high-turnover inventory items.
Ensure inventory counts are completed regularly and on time.
Conduct regular audits of the facility's inventory and provide detailed reports to management.
Train staff in cycle counting and inventory control processes.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish stock as necessary.
Develop and implement inventory control systems and best practices.
Coordinate logistics for purchase orders, stock transfers, deliveries, tagging, and processing.
Forecast supply and demand to ensure consistent stock availability.
Track inbound and outbound orders to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
Analyze and review supply chain data to identify and resolve inventory-related issues.
Generate purchase, pricing reports, and supply chain analysis to inform decision-making.
Maintain ongoing communication with sales, finance, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to understand demand drivers.
Challenge sales forecasts by analyzing historical data, seasonality, market trends, and special offers.
Improve forecast accuracy through data-driven analysis.
Coordinate customer order dates with production planning schedules.
Adjust forecasts and inventory rules based on demand and market trends.
Analyze financial forecasts for quantity and pricing.
Provide regular reports on forecast accuracy and inventory key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately.
Shows the ability to work well under pressure, such as when inventory deliveries or shipments become late or forgotten.
Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills.
Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
Displays the ability to multitask and handle multiple issues at the same time without stress.
Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations.
Use or wear the equipment, protective devices or clothing that MBRP requires to be used or worn.
Report to your Supervisor the absence or defect in any equipment or protective device of which you are aware, and which may endanger yourself or another worker.
Comply with MBRP Policies and Procedures that apply.
Perform additional duties as assigned or requested by Management.
Experience/Qualification:

• High school diploma.
• 5+ years' experience in inventory control or applicable workplace knowledge
• Production and Inventory Management Certification (CPIM).

Preferred Skills:
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Exemplary mathematical and analytical skills.
Able to work irregular or extended hours as needed.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand and/or walk regularly throughout the day.
Conducting cycle counts and inventory checks outdoors.
Sedentary position with computer work required.
