We are looking for a skilled Journeyman Millwright, at our plant, you’ll work on a wide variety of systems—everything from pump systems, elevators, augers, and conveyors to motors ranging from 0.5hp to 450hp. You’ll also get your hands on compressors, airline systems, and industrial dryer and cooler setups. it’s a playground for sharpening every aspect of your millwright skills, this is your chance to grow your craft in a hands-on, challenging environment.
Shift: 10 hours afternoons & nights
Hourly $48.82 CAD with the potential to a $50.82/hr CAD if you possess a Power Engineering certification

Identify and correct any problems found in machines, equipment or processes in order to facilitate production
Maintain, repair and overhaul plant production equipment, building and grounds
Provide quick response to trouble calls by shift supervisors and or operators/technicians
Assist Operating Engineers in maintenance of plant utilities
Perform Weekly Preventive Maintenance Walkthroughs / Inspections / and Repairs on production equipment as necessary
Person should be willing to get trained in the following areas, airborne ultrasound, thermography
Support projects include working on a project team in the design, installation and commissioning
Maintain complete & accurate records of shift logs, maintenance inspections and meter readings
Ensure smooth, efficient communication to the next team at shift changes
Participate collaboratively in process improvement teams as required
Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
Red Seal Millwright (Fully Licensed)
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to work overtime, holidays, nights, weekends or different shifts
Must be able to perform maintenance trades including rigging systems, gearbox and bearing maintenance, lubrication, pumps and piping systems, mechanical maintenance and hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Forklift experience
Able to perform maintenance trades including machinist, welding, pipe fitting, and fabrication
At least 2 years of experience in production related work
Basic computer skills
Previous experience with MRO (Maintenance Repair Ops) and/or MRP (Material Requirement Planning)
Ability to operate heavy equipment
