Our client builds software that accelerates the transition to sustainable low-carbon platform analyzes real-estate portfolios to identify the most effective retrofits for cutting energy use and carbon combining data automation and climate analytics they help the built environment move toward a greener net-zero future.
They are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead and scale the product engineering team. This role sits at the intersection of technical execution product collaboration and people leadership. Youll work closely with product design and business stakeholders to ship impactful features while building a high-performing mission-driven engineering culture. This is a hands-on leadership role: youll spend time managing and growing engineers but also stay close to technical discussions and delivery.

What Youll Do
Lead & Grow the Team: Recruit onboard coach and develop engineers across levels. Foster a collaborative inclusive and high-performance culture across a distributed team
Drive Product Delivery: You are a productivity enthusiast who knows how to make hard work feel rewarding and enjoyable for the team. Support product and design leads to define roadmaps scope initiatives and ensure timely high-quality releases.
Maintain Technical Excellence: Guide technical design reviews manage trade-offs between speed and scalability and ensure best practices in testing reliability and security.
Enable Scale: You are a force multiplier. You elevate those around you and thrive when others succeed. You optimize for speed and innovation.
What Were Looking For
Experience: 12 years in software engineering including 3 years in a management or tech lead role. Experience in startups or fast-paced environments preferred.
Leadership & Mentorship: Proven ability to manage mentor and grow engineers while fostering a culture of trust accountability and collaboration. A kind yet confident leader that makes tough or unpopular decisions when theyre the right call for the team.
Technical Depth: Strong background in our tech stack that optimizes your ability to be hands-on with a strong track record of delivering high-quality work in fast-paced environments.
Product Mindset: Comfortable working closely with product managers and designers and founders with a bias toward shipping customer value.
In the First Two Months
Youll join as both an engineer and tech lead contributing directly as an IC. This will give you deep insight into our technology processes engineering culture and developer experience.
Starting in the third month youll transition fully into the Engineering Leader role.
