Service Technician (Weekend)

We are looking for an experienced individual with a strong mechanical ability who is looking for a service-based role traveling between different customer sites.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in the food sector.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys working on different projects and interacting with multiple teams on-site.

Role: Service Technician

Pay Rate: $40+/hour - OT past 40 hours and double time on the weekends

Servicing the food sector in SW and GTA

Car provided after 6 months of service

40/h, OT after 40 and Double times if you ever need to go in on a weekend

• equipment is at food industry companies- mostly climate control rooms
• tight knit maintenance service team - about 8
• paid travel expenses
• car (which you can also use for personal travel as well), phone and laptop provided
• provided equipment needed for service role
• training and development opportunities - training paid for and done overseas!
• works with large, known food brands
• interact with senior management and maintenance teams
• work with various food processing equipment including: mixing, blending, emulsifying, batch cooking, sausage filling lines, linking equipment for meat and food processors
• travel to different sites within Ontario and be in a customer facing role

Prior experience working as a Service Technician - full understanding of electrical codes with a mechanical aptitude

• Preference for 433a Millwright license or 442a Industrial Electrician, however strong mechanical experience is necessary
• ability to work in a service , travel role / previous service technician experience an asset
• food equipment repair experience an asset
• ability to work flexible hours, depending on the project
• ability to be in meat, bakery, dairy settings
• computer literate (Microsoft skill set)
• professionalism to deal with clients, good time judgement skills for projects and eager to keep learning
