Job Description
Prepare and execute menu items to La Plume’s culinary standards with consistency, precision, and care.
Maintain an organized and efficient workstation during service, ensuring readiness for lunch, dinner, and special events.
Follow established recipes, portioning, and plating standards to ensure quality and presentation.
Work collaboratively with the culinary team to support smooth and timely service.
Uphold all food safety, sanitation, and health & safety standards.
Assist with daily mise en place, prep, and station set-up and breakdown.
Monitor product quality and freshness, minimizing waste through proper storage and rotation.
Support senior cooks and chefs with additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- 2–3 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced, professional restaurant environment.
- Culinary diploma or formal training is an asset.
- Strong foundational cooking skills and knowledge of kitchen techniques and equipment.
- Ability to take direction, work efficiently under pressure, and maintain composure during busy service periods.
- Team-oriented, reliable, and committed to learning and growth.
- Physically able to meet the demands of the job — including standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
- Flexible availability including weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
