Wood is currently recruiting an Estimator within our St. The Estimator acts on behalf of The Company and is responsible for providing cost estimating support to enable better project management decision making on required cost, schedule, and risk mitigation plans to maintain project delivery.

• In our recruitment and hiring process at Wood Canada Ltd., we want to emphasize that we do not employ artificial intelligence or automated systems to screen or select candidates. Prepare detailed estimate of project cost based on project scope provided by the Project Manager
• Performing earned value analysis to support project management and executive reporting, including the development of improved processes for linking Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) costs and project schedules
• Performs field visits to support estimates
• Supports cost variances analysis
• Prepare updated project cost estimates as the project is further defined
• Developing and maintaining project estimating procedures, guides, and templates that are aligned with The Company and industry best practices

• Detailed knowledge of estimating tools and databases
• Experience in document creation and editing (Microsoft Office Products, including Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel). Knowledge of estimating tools and databases
• Well-developed interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing requirements to a wide range of client groups (internal and external)
• Skilled in coaching co-workers and contractors, negotiation, mediation of disputes or differences of opinion and conflict resolution
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives with strong organizational skills to meet project deadlines
• Willing to travel, participate in activities, network and build relationships
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to organize, analyze and report on various parameters and data sets
