Operation Management Officer

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Bilingual Operations Officer II to join our Montreal-based operations team. This is a 100% back-office role focusing on complex money movements, wire payments, and electronic transfers. This position offers a stable 1-year contract with a strong possibility for extension or permanent conversion. Note: Initial training may require 5 days onsite).

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM.

As an Operations Officer II, you will provide a broad range of operational support, executing specialized transactions related to wire payments, electronic transfers, and Visa money transfers. This role is strictly back-office, meaning there is no telephone work. Performance is measured through production volume and compliance accuracy.

Extensive Training: Benefit from a thorough 6-month training period that includes policy observation, procedural reading, and hands-on guidance.

Back-Office Focus: No phone work required—allows for deep focus on technical processing and accuracy.

Execute wire payments, electronic money movements, and Visa money transfers accurately and on time.

Manage and prioritize your workload to meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for productivity and quality.

Risk & Compliance

Regulatory Adherence: Understand and apply internal and industry regulations, ensuring all transactions comply with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Business Continuity Management frameworks.

Policy Review: Consistently exercise discretion in managing confidential information and follow strict operating procedures.

Escalation: Identify and escalate non-standard or high-risk activities to management to ensure service quality is maintained.

Team Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Process Improvement: Actively review internal processes and suggest ideas to strengthen our operating model and elevate service quality.

Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility by moving between a variety of different tasks and projects as business needs shift.

Fully fluent in both French and English (verbal and written).

Experience: 1–2 years of overall professional experience, ideally in a trade processing or administrative environment.

Technical Skills: Tech-savvy with strong Excel skills (experience with pivot tables, formulas, and data entry).

Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and a deep understanding of the impact of transactional risk.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
