Support Software Development Engineer

Software Support Engineer Full Time, Permanent Reporting to Manager, Software Support Engineering Toronto, Ontario Harry Rosen Inc. Central Office (77 Bloor St. West) Hybrid Role, Remote and In-Office Your Style, Your Career Harry Rosen is a retailer of fine quality menswear with store locations across Canada. An exciting and challenging opportunity exists as a Software Support Engineer. This role is within the Tier-3 Support Team. The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment providing technical support to mission-critical business operations and systems. Provide 3rd tier software support to multiple business applications, primarily data related.
Add operational efficiencies by automating and optimizing data exchange processes with internal teams as well as our trading partners.
Follow up on assigned support tickets to ensure closure within agreed SLA.
Analyze support activity and provide recommendations to mitigate emerging or frequent issues.
Contribute to and manage troubleshooting and technical knowledge base.
Work cross-functionally with other teams such as E-Commerce, Analytics, Development, Infrastructure and Helpdesk to design and develop solutions.
Work alongside project management teams for successful implementation of initiatives.
Perform after-hours support as required.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or related field.
1-3 years of hands-on experience with SQL is a must (able to read and update relatively complex SQL procedures)
1+ year of hands-on experience with Kafka integration is a must (understanding of real time data pipelines and application integration with them, able to do configurations)
1+ year of ERP experience as user or support + knowledge of retail business processes is preferable
1+ year of SQL query performance optimization is nice to have
