Hiring Printing Press Operator

Provides a variety of digital printing pre-press services and finishing work such as building job tickets imposition document building digital file repair related to file construction and colour issues scheduling and prioritizing work orders bindery work and customer service. Operates digital equipment bindery equipment and cash registers. Processes orders and updates information within a print management information system (Printshop Pro).

Produces and programs documents for print using predefined components and graphic creation software. Provides accurate materials for production.

• Coordinates Print Services work by scheduling and prioritizing work orders. Processes print orders through web services. Ensures integrity and quality of electronic documents for print through assessment or repair. Liaises with Copyright to ensure documents have been reviewed and approved. Provides technical advice to clients.
• Provides face-to-face customer service including operation of cash register.
• Provides support to the student printer fleet by replacing toner and filling paper.

Four years experience with digital prepress software applications including:
Demonstrated ability in the use of document management and creation software
Retail experience in a customer-facing role

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
Ability to operate related equipment such as digital printing equipment bindery equipment and cash register.
Ability to operate print management software applications
