General Stewart Elementary School is seeking a Grade 3 Homeroom and Music teacher to join their team The successful candidate will be expected to teach Grade 3 students and students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 in Music. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong foundation in student support and hold an unwavering belief that every child is a capable learner and will have:
Educational background in Music (preferred)
Previous experience teaching elementary music (preferred);
An understanding inclusive and restorative teaching practices;
An understanding of music curriculum implementation;
A willingness to be involved in Fine Arts Extra Curricular activities;
Previous experience teaching Elementary Music (considered an asset).
Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an Alberta Teaching Certificate.

A satisfactory Intervention Record Check from South Region Alberta Child and Family Services.
Proof of photo identification, may be a valid driver’s licence, provincial identification card as issued by a licensed government registry office, valid passport or Nexus card. Documentation of a valid Social Insurance Number in the employee’s legal name. If valid Social Insurance documentation in the current legal name can not be provided, the successful candidate will be required to obtain a new one within three days of hire.
