Job Summary And Requirements This opportunity is for a term (anticipatory perm) position working 75 hours biweekly. Temporary Assignments will be considered.
WSCB’s mission is to assist workers and employers in preventing work-related physical and psychological injuries, illnesses and disabilities. Reporting to the Director of Claimant Services, the Manager, Claimant Services oversees the day-to-day operations of the initial entitlement team, providing leadership, coaching, and performance management to support the achievement of branch goals. The role is responsible for establishing and monitoring quality assurance and performance management processes to ensure consistent, high-quality decision-making aligned with organizational standards. The Manager also collaborates with internal and external clients, stakeholders, and service providers to provide guidance on claims processes, support decision-making, and help resolve complex or conflicting issues.
Post-secondary coursework in disability management, administrative justice, healthcare management, or related field.
Substantial experience in a supervisory/managerial role including experience mentoring, leading, and developing the performance of direct reports.
Experience interpreting, analyzing, explaining, and applying legislation, and policy.
Experience in adjudication or in a comparable role requiring independent decision making based on policy legislation, or established guidelines.
