Provide involvement and support in promoting safety in an industrial environment through the utilization of engineering and scientific controls
Assist the assigned manager with project management including tendering negotiating planning installation supervision of projects commissioning and project closeout as needed.
Support the design and installation of short term continuous improvement projects
Become familiar with environmental operational and safety codes and compliance and ensure best practices are implemented as required
Become familiar with continuous and batching manufacturing processes.
Help sustain 5S program.
Perform safety audits and hazard inspections.
Creating and Updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other training documentation.
Collection of data for site environmental projects and studies.
3rd or 4th year student currently enrolled in a University Engineering program preferably Mechanical.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel (advanced functionality) Microsoft Word Microsoft PowerPoint
Ability to accurately compile and disseminate data
Project management experience is considered an asset
Committed to the health and safety of employees contractors and visitors
Monday to Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM
