Lake of the Woods District Hospital is seeking dedicated nursing students ready to enhance their education through practical experience. As Nursing Clinical Externs, you will collaborate with the supervising nurses, functioning as unregulated healthcare providers to support patient care delivery. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience, enabling you to apply nursing theory and expand your competencies as you approach graduation.

Responsibilities encompass various aspects of patient care, including assessments, care planning, and assisting with mobility and daily activities. Additionally, you may be tasked with further duties as assigned by unit leadership.

Must be enrolled in a Registered Nursing Program (RN) OR enrolled in a Registered Practical Nursing Program (RPN), applicants may be in any year of their program
Standards of Practice for nursing, Entry-to-Practice Competencies, Evidence of Safe Practice, Evidence of English Language Proficiency) OR
Evidence of good academic standing including one professional or academic nursing reference
