You'll play a vital part in shaping project success from the very beginning, supporting our preconstruction and estimating team in developing accurate, competitive bids that reflect First Onsite's high standards for quality and service.A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRECONSTRUCTION ESTIMATORAs a Preconstruction Estimator, you are the analytical and collaborative force behind each project's early success. You review drawings, specifications, and proposals, performing detailed take-offs and cost analyses to create accurate and competitive estimates. You coordinate with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring pricing, scopes, and bids align with both budget and quality expectations. Each day brings new opportunities to collaborate with project managers, architects, and construction professionals while supporting the buy-out of trades and sourcing materials for upcoming projects. Your ability to interpret complex information, solve problems quickly, and stay ahead of industry trends helps ensure every bid First Onsite delivers is strategic, complete, and ready for execution.post-secondary education in construction, estimating, or a related field is an assetStrong knowledge of construction processes, codes, and materialsProficiency in Microsoft Office suite; You'll help communities rebuild and families recover after unexpected events.
