Part-Time Hotel Housekeeper

Fairfield Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata has an existing part-time weekend vacancy for a Houseman. This position is primarily responsible is to ensure that the cleanliness and the quality of the overall hotel meet the highest industry standards, thus providing our guests with an outstanding product to enjoy. The focus is on providing hands-on, timely, and genuine guest service. The Houseman is responsible for ensuring public areas of the Hotel are cleaned and linens are restocked for fellow team members.
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper or designate, you will:
Clean designated areas including, but not limited to, restrooms, public areas, offices, and banquet/meeting/conference rooms;
Perform tasks including, but not limited to, dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, and shampooing carpets, washing windows, cleaning/waxing floors, removing and disposing of trash and emptying ashtrays;
Perform deep cleaning tasks and special projects (for example mattress flipping, furniture moves, etc.), Deliver guest requests and assist in cleaning guest rooms, as needed;
Cleaning of guestrooms (cleaning behind beds and armoires, washing walls, cleaning light shades.);
Assisting room attendants by removing dirty linen and garbage from their carts;
Assisting in robe and linen inventories;

Housekeeping experience is desirable but not required;
Basic knowledge of cleaning and industrial equipment and cleaning materials desired but not required;
Ability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related equipment over sloping and uneven surfaces;
Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift;
Ability to work flexible shifts (mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays);
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
