Structural Engineer, Senior

Leading the engineering design and managing the project team, schedule and budget on a variety of projects;

Maintaining a technical advisory role for clients throughout the project term;

Identifying business opportunities and pursuing new projects and new clients

Preparing engineering service proposals;

Liaising with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors;

Preparing specifications and drawings for building permit and tender;

Preparing technical specifications and reports;

Providing technical direction and peer review for junior team members;

Completion of a university degree in Structural Engineering;

Minimum 10 years of demonstrated design experience on structural engineering projects;

Strong ability to coordinate with various design disciplines and construction teams on large scale complex projects;

Excellent oral and written communication skills in English;

Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario, in good standing;

Working knowledge of Ontario Building Codes (OBC), National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and other relevant design standards;

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint;

Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit;

Working knowledge of structural design software (ETABS, SAFE, SFRAME, SAP, Woodworks, etc.);
