Transport Truck Drivers

Groceries Truck Driver (Long and Short Haul)
Employer: Uman99 Transport Ltd. Willing to travel for extended periods, including overnight
Travel and living-out expenses covered, per company policy
Truck Provided

• 34.00 (starting) to $36.00 per hour, to be negotiated based on experience
• Salary increases as per company policy

Permanent, year-round
Full-time (40-50 hours per week, Sunday to Thursday)
Shifts include early morning, morning, day, evening, weekend, and night
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Languages: English
Driver’s License (Class 1 or A)
Must be willing and able to pass a company driving test
Criminal record check
Clean commercial driver’s abstract
Work Site Environment:
Exposure to and handling all types of food products, including seafood, meats, dairy, produce, spices, beverages, etc.
Personal Suitability:
Steel-toed safety boots, steel-toed safety boots, cellular phone

Operate and drive manual straight or articulated (tractor-trailer) refrigeration trucks to transport goods and materials
Maneuvering and backing up heavy trucks or trailers at various delivery sites, including narrow streets, back alleys, etc.
Manually load and unload goods and hand-bomb them into customer locations
Perform routine pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections and maintain accurate records of delivery routes/distance travelled/hours of service, cargo information, fuel consumption, temperature logs, count sheets, and incident reporting
Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment; Provide professionalism in customer service
Receive and relay information to central dispatch using Citizens Band (CB) radio
Other: The company will provide training on GPS and e-Logs.
