Sleep Clinician – Nanaimo, BC

We provide clinical consultation and treatment for individuals diagnosed with Sleep Disordered Breathing conditions. We have a great career opportunity for someone looking to join a team in the growing healthcare field of sleep medicine. This is a temporary full-time position (12-18 months). On the job training will be provided.

Position Description:

The Sleep Clinician will be responsible for providing the following in person and virtually:

Education of Sleep Breathing Disorders to patients;

Explaining the use of CPAP/APAP devices and their accessories;

Selling required CPAP/APAP devices to patients;

Troubleshooting CPAP/APAP devices with patients;

Creating invoices, taking payment through point of sale (POS), and managing inventory;

Maintaining and obtaining medical documentation as per protocols;

Working with 3 rd party insurance providers to obtain funding for equipment;

Any other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

Any experience in the sleep field is considered an asset;

A registered nurse/practical nurse or a registered respiratory therapist is a highly preferred;

Professional and friendly with strong customer service values;

Ability to multi-task, assess situations and prioritize tasks accordingly;

Strong written and verbal communication skills;

Good listening skills coupled with great attention to detail;

Must be comfortable with hands-on patient interaction.
