Teck is looking for a Machinist Apprentice to join our team at our Trail Operations, reporting to the Group Leader, the Machinist Apprentice is responsible for the below.
Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
Layout, fitting, assembly, installation, overhaul, repair and inspection work in shop or field
Completion of a Machinist Foundation course and/or
Minimum of 1 year as a sponsored Millwright apprentice and successful completion of 1 or more years of technical training
Related industrial maintenance experience is preferred
Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems is considered an asset

Financial assistance to help with travel and relocation costs
Teck covers the cost of required technical training and schooling for the apprenticeship program, including tuition, mandatory textbooks, and required materials
Apprentices also receive salary coverage while attending technical training
Apprentices are provided the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside certified Journeypersons
Structured on-the-job training is combined with formal technical training to ensure successful completion of the apprenticeship program
Ongoing mentorship and performance support throughout the apprenticeship

The actual amount offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
