Job Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of programming, quality control, and the ability to work with various tools and machinery. The CNC Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of our production processes.
Duties
Set up and operate CNC routers and other automated woodworking machinery to cut, drill, and shape wood components.
Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files to ensure accurate machining using B Solid with knowledge in Microvellum an asset..
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain precision and quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Skills
Proficiency in operating CNC machinery, particularly lathes and press brake machines.
Strong programming skills with experience in logic controllers for CNC operations.
Familiarity with CAD software, specifically SolidWorks, for interpreting designs and creating machining programs.
Ability to perform quality control inspections and understand measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers.
Experience with hand tools for assembly and maintenance tasks.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work consistently.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
Set up and operate edgebanding machines to apply veneer, PVC, or laminate edging to wood panels.
Adjust machine settings for different materials, edge thicknesses, and adhesives.
Inspect finished products to ensure proper adhesion, alignment, and overall quality.
Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of edgebanding equipment.
