This role is temporarily eligible for a pay premium above the posted salary range that is reassessed annually. The mandate of the Claims Analytics and Strategy team is to improve customer experience, colleague experience and optimize claims costs through providing deep analyses and understanding of the claim processes to stakeholders.
This team is a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with actuaries, claims adjusters, data experts and data scientists. This is a unique opportunity to join a team of experienced actuaries in order to apply and develop your analytical and business acumen skills by having a direct impact on the improvement of the claim processes at TD Insurance.
Develop and support deep analytics on business results and performance to identify strategies to mitigate the impact of inflation and growth on our operations.
Provide technical expertise across a broad range of data analysis functions including data modeling, visualization and data profiling.
Collaborate closely with business SMEs to capture the business challenges, translate into technical requirements, and facilitate adoption of analytics solutions.
Participate in initiatives that will improve customer and colleague experience by proposing solutions leveraging insights from data and analytics.
Communicate and explain financial and analytical concepts to a non-technical and frontline audience.
Bachelor's or master's degree in Actuarial Sciences or related field
Creative in finding solutions to complex problems
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Proficiency in programing or using analytical tools (R, Python, SQL, VBA, etc.)
