As an Engineer II within the Civil / Structural Engineering Team in Pickering, Ontario (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Installed Base Business Unit.

Reinforced Concrete
Heavy Lifting and Rigging
Performs routine and non-routine engineering assignments typically in areas of design, development, analysis, evaluation, testing, preparation of specifications, execution of field tasks and resolution of field problems.
Ensures compliance with government, organization and customer engineering standards.
Independently evaluates, selects and applies standard technical techniques, procedures, and criteria using judgement in making minor adaptations and modifications.
Builds knowledge of organization processes and customers.
Works on special projects, as directed.
Utilizes existing and/or acquired technical expertise to find improved technical solutions to support the product life cycle/replacement of current Framatome technologies.
Actively participates in solving technical issues identified by project management, business line management or by customer request with the objective to increase business opportunities for Framatome Canada Ltd.
Bachelor’s Degree (4 years) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineering License (P. Knowledge of related engineering standards, techniques and criteria.
Good communication skills to comprehend and convey detailed technical data.
Advanced level of specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and programming skills.
Familiarity with the design and operation of a CANDU power plant, with strong knowledge of nuclear design engineering, engineering change control, and related codes and standards.
Prior OPG experience will be considered an asset.
Execute detailed design engineering change packages for the Darlington and Pickering nuclear generating station.
Worked in an engineering role for at least 2 years with structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
Lifting & rigging and scaffold experience also an asset.
Experience working on large scale engineering projects
Salary: $99,000 - $110,000 , and may also include annual incentives and performance bonuses. Multiple medical plan options, dental & vision coverage, life insurance, long- and short-term disability, and optional supplemental plans (critical illness, accident, hospital indemnity, dependent life).
