This position is part of a unionized bargaining unit. The hourly wage for this position starts at $16.60 and is established in accordance with the collective agreement. Depending on a candidate’s relevant knowledge, skills, education, and prior experience, a higher hourly wage may be offered. Any hourly wage offered for this role, whether starting or higher, will fall within the wage scale established for this position in accordance with the collective agreement.

Dive into the action and make a meaningful impact by serving our customers at Food Basics! As a Grocery Clerk, you will be a key player in ensuring our shelves are always stocked and up to standard, while sharing your passion for food with our customers.
Our grocery team is essential to the success of Food Basics, and we are looking for individuals who enjoy helping others and are enthusiastic about the food industry. Join us and help create an awesome shopping experience for everyone!
Restock shelves with new inventory, ensuring items are placed in the correct locations.
Keep aisles, shelves, and the overall store clean and tidy.
Handle spills promptly and ensure the store is safe for customers.
Help customers find specific products or answer questions about items.
Occasionally assist with helping customers put groceries into their vehicle
Conduct periodic inventory counts and ensure accuracy.
Perform price checks for customers and fellow employees.
Assist with special tasks or projects as assigned by management.
Customer service driven.
Retail experience is considered an asset.
Able to stand for extended periods of time and work under minimal supervision.
Must be available to work flexible shifts which may include nights, weekends and holidays.
