Helper, welder-fitter - manufacturing

CEDA is currently seeking a motivated welder’s helper to join our Bonnyville team, to support various sites across our region on a casual basis.

Candidate must live local to Bonnyville.

Casual Position - Call out work

Assist welders with setup and breakdown of field equipment

Prepare materials for welding (grinding, cleaning, cutting)

Handle, carry, and position steel and other materials

Load and unload trucks with tools and materials

Maintain clean and safe job sites

Support crew members with general labor tasks as needed

Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions

Willingness to travel to job sites

Valid Class 5 Drivers license (non GDL) and clean 5 year drivers abstract

Ability to pass pre-employment alcohol and drug testing booked by CEDA

Strong mechanical aptitude

Understanding of welding procedures and structural fabrication processes
