STRUCTURAL ENGINEER - ENERGY SECTOR - SENIOR (H/F)

AECOM Buildings Place is seeking a motivated and skilled Senior Structural Engineer to help lead buildings projects commercial institutional and industrial facilities such as Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and Sewage Lift Stations) This position can be based out of the Winnipeg office with opportunities for hybrid work. Some travel to site may be required. AECOM Buildings Places Canada (BP Canada) is a vibrant and growing fully integrated team spanning architecture all the buildings engineering disciplines landscape architecture urban planning urban design economics and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include although not limited to: Municipal Commercial Institutional projects Justice Education and Government.

Lead and contribute to the successful design production coordination and management of structural building designs

Independently perform structural analysis and design of steel concrete wood and masonry structures in accordance with relevant codes and standards.

Communicate effectively (both verbally and written) with clients and internal team members in the development of designs and preparation of technical specifications of structural building systems

Prepare structural analysis and calculation reports.

Coordinate with other business lines and engineering disciplines project managers and clients to ensure efficient project execution.

Conduct reviews to ensure that engineering deliverables (e.g. drawings specifications reports calculations analysis) comply with applicable regulations standards corporate procedures and sound engineering practices

Provide engineering support and supervision to EITs Technologists Technicians and CAD/REVIT staff.

Prepare or assist in preparation of engineering fee estimates for bids and proposal on structural engineering.

Conduct site visits inspections and structural assessments to evaluate structures conditions and provide recommendations.

Ensure project deliverables meet quality budget and schedule expectations

Stay updated on codes regulations and industry best practices to ensure high-quality design solutions.

Bachelors degree in structural engineering and Six (6) years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Holding security clearance or the ability to obtain secret level security clearance

Good written and verbal communication skills (English proficiency essential).

10 years of experience in structural engineering after receiving . Experience in IPD (Integrated Project Delivery)

Experience in structural design of industrial plants commercial buildings government facilities municipal infrastructure and transit stations.

Proficiency in 3D structural analysis modeling and design software including but not limited to ETABS STAAD Pro SAP2000 SAFE as well as other computer-aided design tools relevant to this role.

Company paid relocation is not available for this position.

Occasional business travel within Manitoba and in Western Canada may be required.
