Deployment Developer

Job Responsibility:

We are hiring a Liferay Portal Developer to be located anywhere in Canada or the US to join our growing company for a 6-12 month Contract (remote) employment. With a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in business or technology, the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and delivering high-performance and responsive web applications using Liferay and Java/J2EE technologies. As a Senior Liferay Developer, you will contribute to all development lifecycle phases, ensuring the production of well-designed, testable, and efficient code that complies with specifications.

What will you do?

Design and develop web applications using Liferay, Java and modern JavaScript frameworks to deliver high-performance and responsive solutions.

Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from requirements analysis and design to implementation and testing.

Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code with a keen focus on quality and performance.

Ensure that designs are in compliance with specifications and industry best practices.

Prepare and produce releases of software components, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.

Collaborate effectively in a team environment, fostering communication and knowledge-sharing.

Work closely with our global technology partner to deliver cutting-edge solutions to our clients.

Collaborate with onshore and offshore teams to successfully deliver projects on time.

What do you need to succeed?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline from an accredited institution with 5+ years of relevant experience in Liferay DXP.

Proven experience developing applications on Liferay DXP 7.2 or newer versions

Familiarity with Modern Liferay Application Development approaches such as Collections, Fragments, Data Sets, Liferay Objects, Headless APIs, and Client Extensions

Expertise in Liferay, Java/J2EE application design, and development.

Familiarity with the OSGI framework and MVC design patterns

Experience implementing and utilizing Web services and service/System Integrations.

Strong Web UI development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).

Working knowledge of at least one advanced front end frameworks such as angular or react

Experience integrating Liferay with external applications such as Salesforce, SharePoint, ERP, CRM, custom applications or third party systems.

Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Proficiency in code management tools, automated build setup, and deployment procedures.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Self-motivated, creative, and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
