A great opportunity for a dedicated Process Engineer to work in a team-focused environment.
We are a Market Pulp and Energy production facility located in Nanaimo, B. Harmac Pacific has a unique business model where employees are also shareholders of a private company, and have a determined commitment to succeed. Our primary business is operating Pulp Mill which is renowned for its production of world class quality NBSK pulp, along with green electrical energy generation that is exported to BC Hydro. We are seeking skilled and motivated Process Engineers to join our team at Harmac Pacific Pulp Mill. Under the direction of the Technical Services Superintendent, you will play a critical role in optimizing our pulp production processes and quality and improving environmental impact. Your expertise will be essential in identifying opportunities for process enhancements, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing innovative solutions to drive continuous improvement throughout the operation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance process performance at the mill
Monitor production processes and KPIs, ensuring we meet quality, safety, and environmental standards.
Analyze data to make informed decisions that boost productivity and reduce our carbon footprint.
Work in a unique and successful business model which is lean and agile.
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field.
Previous experience in pulp and paper or other manufacturing industries would be considered a strong asset
Project management skills, including multitasking and prioritization abilities.
Unwavering commitment to health and safety protocols and environmental compliance.
Process Engineer in training position may be offered to recently graduate chemical engineering candidates
