IT Systems Architect
Intermediate Technology Architect
Duration: 1 Year assignment (contract)
Client Location: Toronto ( Onsite : 7.25 hours/day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday)
This position is provisionally Onsite , requiring 7.25 hours per calendar day between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM , Monday to Friday (excluding breaks). We are seeking the services of an experienced Intermediate Technology Architect to support infrastructure initiatives for a public sector client. The engagement involves acting as a subject matter expert on service enablement, networking, and proof-of-concept for new features. The resource will design, configure, and support SDN networking, secure networks, and assist with automation to enhance service delivery excellence.
The resource will contribute to infrastructure projects and cluster solutions requiring integration with cloud services. Designing and conducting automation activities.
Supporting hardware/software migrations and lifecycle management maturity.
Assisting with process refinement and application performance improvements.
Act as SME for infrastructure and networking projects.
Design and implement SDN networking, micro-segmentation, and security improvements.
Create automation scripts for service delivery and monitoring.
Extensive knowledge in deploying and managing IT systems (networks, firewalls, SDN, hypervisors).
Hands-on experience with Networking and VMware.
Proven ability to build infrastructure using automation and integrate services (identity management, logging, monitoring).
Experience with on-prem/cloud environments, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.
Previous public sector experience.
