Who You Are: Ground Effects is looking for a Production Quality Engineer to join our growing organization in Windsor, ON. The Production Quality Engineer is to provide supportive assistance and liaison with the Engineering team in the development of control plans, participate trial run and containment activities. Also responsible for monitoring customer websites and address customer concerns.
College or bachelor's degree Preferred.
Quality Background in a painting environment as an OEM supplier
Must have extensive knowledge of IATF- 16949 requirements including experience with documentation and implementation.
Must have knowledge of and experience with the APQP process including FMEA and Control Plan development.
Must have strong computer skills.
Must be knowledgeable in customer specific requirements.
Must have experience in dealing with customers and suppliers in matters relating to product quality
Must be computer literate.
Must have and maintain legal access/entry to the United States.
Product layout techniques and GD&T basics
Supporting production quality at all GFX-Windsor plants.
Participate in production trial run activities.
Liaison with Engineering on completion of Run at Rate activities.
Request and follow up with engineering on prints, sheet changes/updates.
Assisting the team in developing/updating Control Plans and FMEAs.
Assisting supplier quality with any supplier issues.
Preparation of process inspection sheets, Quality Alerts and Sort Sheets.
New hires quality orientation and providing OJT to Quality Staff.
Responsible for monitoring customer websites for NCTs, PRRs, assist team to root cause issue, resolution and responding to customers.
H.S.A. and site policies.
Notify Supervision if any protective material, equipment or device is missing or not functioning properly.
