Civil Estimator

We are looking for a skilled Estimator to join a premier leader in the pipeline rehabilitation sector. Based out of Edmonton, this role is central to supporting large-scale infrastructure projects across Western Canada. You will focus on cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) solutions, helping to restore vital municipal and industrial water, sewage, and drainage systems. Comprehensive Exposure: Gain experience across the full project lifecycle, from initial sales surveys to final execution reviews.

Bid Management: Lead the preparation of comprehensive cost estimates, risk assessments, and formal proposals for regional projects.

Project Feasibility: Analyze sales surveys, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine the viability and risk profile of potential jobs.

Compute detailed budgets by evaluating labor requirements, equipment needs, material costs, and third-party rentals.

Secure subcontractor quotes and coordinate with Operations and Sales teams to ensure competitive and accurate pricing.

Maintain an organized database of historical costs and track bid statuses within the project management system.

Facilitate "handoff" meetings with Project Managers to ensure a seamless transition from the bidding phase to site execution.

A Bachelor’s Degree, Technical Diploma, or equivalent hands-on experience in the field.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel/Word); experience with Primavera, InEight, or JD Edwards is considered a strong asset.

Excellent written and verbal skills for report writing and presenting information to stakeholders.

Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel approximately 30% of the time as required.
