Corporate Payroll Accountant

Complete bank and corporate credit card reconciliations; investigate variances, ensure accurate coding and documentation, and correct errors promptly.
Review AP and AR prepared by administrative staff; process vendor payments, reconcile billings to project budgets and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Communicate with project managers to confirm project forecasts and ensure timely progress and accurate invoicing.
Resolve accounting questions and discrepancies with internal teams and external parties as required.
Prepare and file GST returns and payroll remittances; coordinate corporate tax support with external accountants and assist with year-end review engagements.
Month-end close, including checklists, accruals and account reconciliations.
Support budgeting, cash flow tracking, forecasts, and variance analysis; provide adhoc- financial analysis and support the Finance team as requested.
Improve and document accounting processes; support implementation of new tools/software.
Completed a Bachelors degree in Accounting.
- Enroled in the CPA program
- 2–3 years of accounting experience supporting a senior team.
- Strong technical ability and experience with troubleshooting and data analysis.
- Experience with a project-based accounting software system such as Deltec or Sage 300 is an asset.
- Project accounting experience is an asset
