Position SummaryDo you have a passion for nursing? We are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse with a dedication for delivering compassionate patient care to join our team at the Kitimat General Hospital.In accordance with the established mission, vision, values, and strategic priorities of Northern Health, and under the general supervision of Manager or designate, this position provides and co-ordinates nursing care to assigned patients consistent with current standards of nursing practice and the clinical specialty of operating room nursing and post-anaesthetic care nursing. Nursing responsibilities include scheduled on-call responsibilities for emergency surgery and PACU assignment.Shift Rotation/Hours of work: Days, 07:30 to 15:30, 09:00 to 15:00 (rotating)A first in Canada: minimum Nurse-to-Patient Ratios (mNPRs) are starting in B.Northern Health, alongside B.C.'s other health authorities, is implementing mNPRs as a transformative staffing initiative that aims to improve the working environment of nurses in order to provide better quality care to our patients.Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.

Post diploma certification in operating room techniques and procedures, or post diploma course in post-anaesthetic care nursing, OR Equivalent combination of training and experience in O.Critical care skills an asset.
