Speech Therapist or Audiologist

Fort McMurray is an exciting city to live, and the Northern Lights Regional Health Centre (NLRHC) has an opening for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP). This is a temporary role that will work outpatient, inpatient, pediatric and adult clients. Your caseload will vary and could include speech sound delays/disorders, language delays/disorders, autism spectrum disorder, stroke rehabilitation. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical professional practice both independently and as a part of a collaborative team, which may include external partners. You will be responsible for providing prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will participate in the planning, coordination and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients/clients, families, healthcare professionals and other partners. You will use your clinical expertise to inform ongoing quality improvement, service integration, and program development.

Additional Required Qualifications: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) will be required before you start working with patients.
