Be part of the Southern Health-Santé Sud team, who is rooted in what matters most. The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing accurate, timely and appropriate nutrition assessment, management and support for clients and communities in Southern Health-Santé Sud. The Clinical Dietitian applies nutrition and dietetic theory, key knowledge and critical thinking skills to strive to improve the health of clients and residents of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Dietitian or in a nutrition related profession.
Bachelor of Science Degree, Human Nutritional Sciences, dietetic or related area from an accredited Canadian university program or the approved equivalent if internationally educated required.
Graduate of a recognized dietetic internship program which has been accredited by Partnership for Dietetic Education and Practice including the Masters of Applied Human Nutrition from the University of Manitoba or a planned practicum as requested by the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
Current active registration in good standing with the College of Dietitians of Manitoba.
Current Food Handler Training Certificate Level 1 or equivalent Food Sanitation course within 6 months of hire.
Membership with Dietitians of Canada recommended.
Knowledge of the Manitoba Long Term Care Standards.
Knowledge of behavior change counselling and client focused approaches and strategies.
Knowledge of motivational interviewing techniques.
Knowledge of Total Parenteral Nutrition for positions located in the Regional Centres.
Demonstrated ability to perform tasks with efficiency while maintaining high quality standards.
Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt to evolving techniques and procedures in a changing environment.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with staff, health care professionals and co‐workers, etc.
Demonstrated ability to maintain a positive working relationship with all staff, residents, patients and clients.
Demonstrated ability to function effectively within a collaborative health care team.
Given the cultural diversity of our region, the ability to respect and promote a culturally diverse population is required.
Proficiency of both official languages is essential for target and designated bilingual positions.
May work occasionally evenings and weekends as necessary.
Will be required to support sites where vacation coverage/vacancies apply.
Will be required to support onboarding process for new dietitians upon hire.
