Temporary Full-Time - Primary Care Paramedic

To provide emergency medical care to the residents of Norfolk County.
Successful completion of a diploma in Emergency Care/Paramedicine from a Community College in Ontario.
EMCA or A-EMCA certified by the Ministry of Health.
Certification as a Primary Care Paramedic in the Province of Ontario, (Regulation 257/00).
Currently certified as a Primary Care Paramedic, Advanced Care Paramedic, or Critical Care Paramedic in good standing with an Ontario Base Hospital
Possess and maintain all qualifications as specified under the Ambulance Act and Regulations.
Ability to exert heavy physical effort required to treat and move patients, deliver medical equipment or sort inventory at station and in ambulance.
Must be flexible to work days, evenings and/or weekends.
Complete Immunization information once provided
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
The ability to exercise sound judgment in emergency situations.
Courteous and effective skills in dealing with the public.

The 2 shift assignments available for the duration of this contract will be Monday to Friday, 10:00 to 18:00.
Prior to the end of this contract there will be an opportunity for consideration to remain in a permanent part-time capacity.
