Child and Youth Worker | Casual

A Child and Youth Worker (CYW) works as a member of the Mental Health and Well-Being team at the school level. Our c asual CYW staff work on an on-call basis, filling in for school CYW staff on a short term or long-term basis as required.
Flexible work schedule;
Casual long-term placements, can lead to eventual permanent positions.
To support the social, emotional and/or behavioural well-being of students;
Provide intervention strategies and coordinate appropriate community referrals;
Completion of a three-year, post-secondary diploma in a Child and Youth Care program or equivalent;
Up to three months related employment or volunteer experience with children;
Knowledge of community agencies and organizations;
Working understanding of related hardware and software;
Must be able to travel to all locations within the Niagara Catholic District School Board jurisdiction.
Varies as needed on a casual on call basis for long-term placements. Must be available Monday to Friday for Elementary and Secondary School hours.
