Associate Youth Pastor

Lighthouse Toronto Church (LTC) is a member of the Associated Gospel Churches of Canada (AGC) and exists to glorify God and enjoy Him as we devote ourselves to the Word of God and prayer, loving the body of Christ, making disciples, and making Christ known to the world. It is our ultimate authority in life and ministry. We are also a gospel-centered and Christ-exalting church. Therefore, we desire every area and aspect of our church to be governed by God’s Word and every level of our teaching declaring the gospel.

LTC is a growing church family that currently has a Sunday morning attendance of approximately 100-120 adults or 130 including children, with a wide diversity of ages, backgrounds, and stages of life.

We are currently looking for a male pastor to join LTC as an Associate Pastor. We seek a pastor who loves Jesus with their whole heart, soul, mind, and strength, who serves as an example to the flock, who remains teachable and humble, and who ministers as a servant. We desire a pastor who loves the local church, is aligned with our church’s theological positions and philosophical approaches to ministry, and has a diligent work ethic, enabling him to complete tasks and serve humbly and faithfully.

Personal Qualifications

• Demonstrates a vibrant and mature relationship with Jesus Christ, dedication to personal and spiritual disciplines and who embodies the character and lifestyle consistent with Titus 1:5-9 and 1 Timothy 3:1-7, including a vibrant devotional life and a healthy family life.
• Regards the Bible as God’s final authority in all aspects of the Christian life, striving for wholehearted obedience to its teachings.
• Ongoing desire to develop spiritual gifts and professional skills to serve the church.
• As a member of LTC, fully participate and engage in the church community, including Community Groups, prayer meetings, and various events
• Completed or currently enrolled in a formal post-secondary education in Christian Ministry, Biblical Studies, or Theological Studies.
• Experience teaching the Scriptures to all ages, particularly youth and young adults (preferred).
• Experience in full or part-time pastoral roles, internships, or lay leadership
• Experience with volunteers in recruiting, training, communicating with, fostering teamwork, and leading is considered an asset.
