Home Care Assistance of Barrie, Ontario
Our live in caregivers are an essential part of the team. They are required to live in the home of the clients for multiple weeks per month. You will have your own private room. Required FEMALE staff only. We have 1 Caregiver vacancy available. You are required to live in Simcoe County for travel time requirements as this is not a full time live in position, one week on one week off. Live-in positions typically involve 7-day-a-week coverage, requiring a rotating relief schedule with other staff.
You will be supported by our Care Manager (registered nurse) whose goal is to help you be successful. This role is an ongoing full time position. Personal services include toileting, bathing, and grooming
- Provide light housekeeping
- Prepare meals, and provide personal assistance with general living needs
- Provide companionship and conversation with a gentle approach
- Follow care plan and complete documentation
Paid housing/ WIFI
* Our live in staff can apply after 3 months to our Health benefits plan
Demonstrated working experience with the elderly, knowledgeable with respect to their needs
- Ability to exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with residents, families, and visitors
- Proof of valid Covid19 vaccines, Flu Vaccine and WHMIS, CPR/First Aid.
- PSW CERTIFICATE REQUIRED from Canadian College or Adult Learning School.
