Part Time Psychology Counselor

COUNSELLING SERVICES: HEALTH & WELLNESS

Counselling Services provides a wide range of mental health supports including direct clinical services and prevention-focused outreach and education to support all students academic and personal development. Full-time Continuing Fredericton On-Campus Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri 8:15 am - 4:30 pm 36.25 hours per week Reporting to the Director of Counselling Services the Counsellor provides clinical services and develops outreach programs workshops and training to support the mental health and well-being of students. Provide direct clinical brief individual therapy group counselling and crisis intervention to students presenting with a wide range of problems including depression anxiety adjustment and developmental issues academic-related issues substance use trauma and relationship difficulties. Participate in developing and delivering mental health outreach programs workshops and training for students. Supervise graduate students in individual and group counselling. Maintain confidential counselling records. Provide consultation services to student groups faculty and staff within the university. A Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology (Counselling or Clinical) Social Work or equivalent. Experience in a post-secondary setting is considered a strong asset. Experience with outreach therapy groups and psychoeducational interventions. Experience providing culturally sensitive counselling to diverse populations.
