Building Management Supervisor

Altea's Facilities Manager is an experienced leader who plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and impeccable maintenance of our facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility management, including, maintenance, safety compliance, budget management, inventory control, project management, ensuring a high standard of functionality, managing in-house laundry services, and aesthetics across the property.
You manage relationships with external contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and timely service.You work in a hybrid environment that combines traditional office work with a hands-on approach, ensure the building assets are secure, maintained and running smoothly.
You are meticulous with your preventative maintenance schedule and coordinate activities such as routine inspections, cleaning and repair of fitness equipment, locker rooms, sauna, steam rooms, pool, towel laundry services, and other amenities. You stay incredibly organized as you manage inventory of supplies for daily operations, maintain records of inspections, permits and safety protocols.
You also have leadership skills, as you supervise and coordinate the facilities team, including maintenance staff and custodians, providing training and performance feedback. You collaborate with the leadership team to implement initiatives aimed at enhancing the member experience through facility improvements and upgrades.
You are a Planner : You're always one step ahead and are on the ball when it comes to preventative maintenance, schedules and communicating service disruptions.
You have communication superpowers: and are a good listener and speaker to help customers and employees understand your direction and recommendations.
You're Accountable: You take responsibility for all work activities and personal actions; As a Facilities Manager, a typical day may include;
Communication with the various teams about service disruptions
Reviewing contract proposal from a prospective contractor and dissecting it
Managing our custodial team schedule
Conducting an employee performance review
Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

• 5+ years facility operations experience. Proven experience in facility management, preferably in a fitness center or hospitality environment.
• 3+ years personnel management experience
• Prior Plumbing, HVAC or Electrical experience is preferred with proficiency in at least 1 major area
• Proficient with the use of basic hand tools and various power tools an asset
• Proficient with operations of a multimeter and ammeter an asset
• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification and prior knowledge of pool operations is an asset
• Valid driver's license, auto insurance and demonstrated safe driving record an asset.
• A recent Criminal Background Check prior to commencement of training and/or work.
