We are recruiting for 6 First Cooks. The First Cook position is full-time 30-40 hours per week, permanent with an hourly rate range of $20.60 - $22.70. Overtime may be necessary as required paid at time and half. This position may be eligible for property-level incentives and bonus programs.
Prepare and cook complete meals, individual dishes and foods.
Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities in a restaurant establishment.
Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen and follow the rules of health and safety.
Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
Ensure that the production, preparation and presentation of food are of the highest quality at all times.
Ensure highest levels of guest satisfaction, quality, operating and food costs on an ongoing basis.
Knowledge of all standard procedures and policies pertaining to food preparation, receiving, storage and sanitation.
Follow good preservation standards for the proper handling of all food products at the right temperature.
Flexible shift hours will be required.
1-2 years of commercial cooking experience.
Requires prolonged standing and walking throughout the shift in kitchen and storage areas.
Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and crouching to access low shelves, ovens, refrigeration units, and storage areas.

Manual handling of heavy cookware, including full stock pots, sheet pans, and hotel pans.
Exposure to temperature fluctuations (hot cooking line, walk-in coolers, freezers)
Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business levels.
