Food preparation and cooking:
Measure, weigh, chop, and otherwise prepare ingredients according to specific recipes.
Cook various items using different methods like grilling, frying, baking, boiling, and steaming.
Ensure the quality and freshness of all ingredients.
Arrange and garnish dishes according to established standards.
Kitchen and sanitation management:
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including workstations, equipment, and utensils.
Follow all food health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
Monitor and manage inventory, and place orders for supplies when needed.
Teamwork and communication:
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure all orders are prepared and served in a timely manner.
Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
Handle customer requests and special dietary needs as required.
Qualifications and skills
Experience in a team environment and knowledge of various cooking methods.
Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced setting.
Strong attention to detail for both food preparation and presentation.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
A high school diploma or GED is often required.
A food handler's certification,is frequently preferred
