Design Architect/Intern Architect

Your new company Our client is a growing, design-led architectural studio operating across Western Canada, delivering a diverse portfolio across multifamily, high-end residential, and commercial projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an Intern Architect with excellent design skills to step into a highly involved, leadership-track role, working closely with the Principal across design, coordination, and project delivery. contribute to design development and documentation across multiple active projects while supporting and helping to lead project delivery alongside the Principal Architect. You will assist with bylaw and building code reviews to ensure compliance at all stages, while preparing and reviewing drawing packages, including DP-level documentation where required. Overall, you will balance involvement in design direction with hands-on production, contributing at both a strategic and detailed level throughout project delivery.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5+ years of experience within an architectural practice and be eligible for, or actively working towards, registration with AAA or equivalent. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD an asset. Experience contributing across both design development and technical documentation, including drawing production, is essential, with project exposure across residential and/or commercial sectors preferred. A solid understanding of building systems, particularly wood-frame construction, is important, as is a proactive and detail-oriented approach with the ability to take ownership of deliverables.
