Laser Operator – CNC Laser Cutting

As Malach continues to invest in advanced fabrication technology, our CNC laser cutting department plays a critical role in supporting high-quality, high-volume fabrication for both internal and customer-driven projects.
As a Laser Operator , you are a key contributor to Malach’s production flow and quality performance. Your work directly impacts part accuracy, material utilization, throughput, and on-time delivery.
This is a hands-on production role focused on safe and efficient operation of CNC laser cutting equipment, consistent quality output, and strong adherence to established processes and standards.
You will work with modern CNC laser cutting equipment in a high-throughput fabrication environment.
Your role directly supports Malach’s core production capabilities and customer commitments.
You will build valuable technical skills in laser cutting, materials, and fabrication processes.
You will have opportunities to grow into senior, lead, or supervisory roles over time.

CNC Laser Operation (Day or Evening Shift):
Safely set up and operate CNC laser cutting machines (Amada, BLM, or similar flatbed laser systems).
Load and unload materials and finished parts using appropriate material handling equipment.
Verify correct programs, materials, and cutting parameters prior to operation.
Monitor machine performance during cutting operations and identify issues affecting quality or efficiency.
Perform basic operator-level adjustments and troubleshooting within scope of training.
Communicate equipment or process concerns to the Production Lead, Supervisor, or Maintenance.
Quality & Process Control:
Perform first-piece and in-process inspections to ensure parts meet drawing specifications and tolerances.
Accurately complete production and quality documentation as required.
Identify non-conforming parts and follow established quality procedures.
Maintain consistent standards for part identification, traceability, and housekeeping.
Follow all Malach safety policies and procedures, including laser safety, guarding, PPE, and material handling requirements.
Operate equipment in accordance with safe work practices and training.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and required training.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement:
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
Demonstrate flexibility to assist in other production areas as required.
Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting equipment in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment.
Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and work instructions.
Basic understanding of materials, cutting processes, and quality inspection methods.
Forklift or material handling certification (or willingness to obtain).
Familiarity with ISO 9001 manufacturing environments.

Day Shift: 7:00 a.m. – On-site, hands-on manufacturing role.
Exposure to high-power laser cutting equipment, noise, and materials.
All work performed in accordance with Malach safety policies and procedures.
